CSEG and Chesapeake Park
Jennifer Fitzmaurice, the Director of Community Affairs, placed me in charge of multiple projects to assist her in promoting Chesapeake Park to the public. As a reminder, Chesapeake Park will have 24 multipurpose recreation fields and the home stadium of the Chesapeake Bayhawks. To read more about Chesapeake Park, check out my blog post from May 22nd. You can also visit Chesapeake Park's official Facebook page.
The first project is to create email lists of boys' and girls' travel leagues, athletic directors, and high school coaches of four counties near Annapolis, MD. The email lists enable Jennifer to send mass emails to each individual when she has information she would like to share with them. This information could include updates about the Park and any other pertinent information she wants them to know.
The second project is to track articles and data. These articles are on sports complexes in the Mid-Atlantic. I specifically looked for articles that discussed the economic impact of the sports complex on local businesses. For instance, a sports complex in Virginia advertises local restaurants and hotels for guests to visit while in town for their respective tournaments. Other articles focus on improvements to the complex such as installing synthetic turf.
